Spies (Bright Year: Day 38)

Spies, those disciples. 

For forty days Jesus, risen from the dead, explored the new world with them.  For forty days they beheld the future.  They experienced the foretaste of eternal life.  They broke bread with the covenant King.  They partook of the grapes in the kingdom of Christ.  They basked in God’s brightness, all the while walking among the giants of the land.
