Showing up for Dinner (Bright Year: Day 32)

“God raised him on the third day and made him to appear, not to all the people but to us who had been chosen by God as witnesses, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead” (Acts 10:40-41 ESV).

Those who beheld the Risen One feasted with Him. That was Jesus’ preferred schedule: always at mealtime. He is the banqueting God. When there was a meal during the forty days, the Father made Jesus appear.

Furthermore: when Jesus shows up, how can there not be a feast?

Bright Year is a series examining how the resurrection of Jesus shines light on every day of the year. For the whole series, see www.sevensided.org/bright-year.
